Create Pixel Art and Sprites in Adobe Illustrator

Since I created my pixel art tutorial over 3 years ago, things have become even easier in Adobe Illustrator to create a classic, retro, pixel effect in vectors that can be scaled to any size. This retro look harkens back to the days of nintendo, SNES, and all the other 8 and 16 bit consoles.

Here we'll use the grid tool, live paint bucket, and a reference image from the web to create the final effect.
