True Detective double exposure in Photoshop

In celebration of the gritty, awesome HBO series True Detective, we dive into Photoshop to re-create the look from the series intro. Accompanies by music from The Handsome Family, the images used in this tutorial are available to download at QuintalDesigns.com but are not allowed to be sold, or passed off as your own work. We’ll be using layer masks, Clipping masks, and gradient maps to create that signature True Detective look on a 1920x1080 canvas, fully layered. You can even use your own images and turn yourself into a member of the Louisiana PD.
